in the 80's I saw a movie, probably direct to VHS and running on the back of Star Wars success, very much like the Hoff classic Starcrash.

The main plot was a typical battle of Good Vs Evil, the evil in this case being some space empress that posessed a large perspex Iron Maiden device that sucked the blood from her victims and was used as an elixir to maintain her youthful appearance - much like the previously mentioned Elizabeth Bathory.

I've got a feeling it may have been a dubbed Italian movie.

No not Barbarella or Lifeforce - yes the 'speeling' is correct - it is referring to the Hungarian historical figure, if it was an actress I'd have looked up IMDB myself - sheesh!. Unfortunately not Flesh Gordon or Sex Wars or any of the 'mainstream underground' direct to VHS offerings of the 80's Im afraid. This is going to be a VERY obscure movie.

lizabeth Bathory presume you are refering to the hungarian lady portrayed by Ingrid Pitt as countess dracula. The you are thinking of could be flesh gordon or some other late 70s porno, there were a few after star wars.
