The first thing I would suspect is the lid safety switch since everything else seems to work. There is a hole in the top of the machine where a plastic pin on the lid fits into when the lid is closed. Below the hole is a switch that the pin has to contact and energize before the machine will pump or spin. Check to see if the pin is intact and that the switch is there and working...Good Luck...

try it on another cycle than the one you are using. that will tell you if it's the timer, if it now works, or the mechanical, it still doesn't. if it spins and drains out on gentle or perm press then the contacts are gone in the timer on the cycle that it didn't work on. if it still doesn't spin and drain, it could be a belt, something with the shift mechanism, or transmission. good luck, hope this helps.

Sounds like your pump's shot. The machine wont spin until the tub drains first. I doubt it's a belt or clutch because the machine agitates.

Is the load balanced? If the load is out of balance, the drum will start to wobble and a safety switch will shut off the washer. When you open and close the lid, the washer will attempt to spin again but shut off if the unbalance has not been corrected.
