Herewith my view. The current BB issue highlights 2 fundamentals for me. 1) If the only way we can entertain ourselves is by watching a bunch of sad, self-centred people tyring to outdo each other (in all manner of things!) live on camera, then as a society, we are really going backwards. 2) To crown it all, there is then mass indignation and hurt when people show their true colors and speak the unspoken. What else do you expect? Just because it is politically incorrect to speak out or act as a racist, thug, bully, bigot and whatever else, people do not fundamentally change who and what they are just because they are told they should. It's not Goody's fault, she was just being herself.
Unless the idea of BB is that it is some kind of Dharma project observing human behaviour (in which it also fails dismally - subject of a different discussion), I say Scrap it (and anything like it). It's purile.

I totally agree with you! My sentiments exactly! Most people only seem to enjoy scandalism, good news is no news as they say. Although it is about time that someone has spoke the unspoken; it is a voice that is crying out to be heard, but is masked with all of this appalling political correctness! It is certainly not Goody's fault, but she ended up being a scapegoat. It is a shame that the underlying issue of racism is not dealt with properly. Goody is hardly a decent candidate for an inaugarator of this 'controversial' issue. But at some stage it needs to be aired!
The majority of people have come to this country and abused our hospitality. This has resulted in us losing out on a hell of a lot. They do not conform to our way of life. This political correctness is a crock of sh*t! We have no rights in our own country, and we have lost our identity! Diversity does not work. Blair has bred hate mongers. And made the British respond to the unfair way in which we have ended up being the second class citizens.
Everyone else but the British are allowed to preach and practise their religion without hindrance. We have lost our British identity it is so wrong! Many of us do not want to be categorised racist, however, is it any wonder that we have grown resentful over the years?
Check out the following:
Being British is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV.
And the most British thing of all? - Suspicion of anything foreign.
I also agree with Alan M.
Regardless of the fact that you spelled puerile wrong, does not take away your valid and salient point.

I dont have the energy to go on a rant so I'll boil it down
Big Brother is **** but people watch it and many people make money of it so its an ever growing monster.

ITS DEFINETLY NOT A KIND OF PROJECT: its just putting a certain kind of person in room with other kinds of people to get the PREDICTED results e.g sex, arguments, sex in the jacuzzi and arguments in the jacuzzi.

Although I applaud them for getting Dirk Benedict as he has a genuine character.

enormous brother is easily gazing. check out inner maximum businesses mutually with google to boot as some cellular telephone businesses. they have extensive databases full of suggestion that's there for the government's taking. enormous brother is often gazing, whether all of us comprehend it or no longer. i do no longer advise to sound like some conspiritorial nut, yet with the quantity of technologies we've today and the various techniques wherein we use it to communicate the government will in user-friendly terms be waiting to work out further and further. privateness is barely an phantasm.

BB is and always has been bllx. I am more surprised that little if anything has been said about the racist vitriol on C4's Despatches programme a couple of weeks ago about what goes on in Mosques.

You spelt 'puerile' wrong. I admire your honesty, because I think a lot of the people criticising Jade are hypocrites and they just want a scapegoat (As evidence of our racism in the UK, look at how we basically just went to Iraq on a whim and how we treated Muslims after September 11). The show is crap, but everyone's so lonely and bored that they watch it. But you must also agree that the media has a moral responsibility - it's a primary source of education too...
