When we dream it is often about things that we cannot face in every day life & so they come to the forefront when we are asleep. However, you seem to have some serious past issues that you have never dealt with & until you do these dreams will not stop. It is only when you start to face up to your past that these dreams will get better & eventually go away. Have you thought of counselling? Don't be afraid or embarrassed. I saw a psychologist nearly 8 years ago & honestly it was the best thing that I ever did. There's something so safe about spilling all to a stranger. They really work, give it a try. Good luck & God bless.

Meditate.
I know it sounds new aged and you may not be into that... but a few years ago, I came across a really helpful meditation.
Close your eyes, relax and take 10 deep breaths.
Imagine yourself in either a green lush glade or on the beach or whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Go for a walk around the glad (or wherever you are), appreciate all the beauty around you. Feel yourself fill up with calming and healing energy.
On you walk, you come across a cave with a big boulder in front of it. Walk to the stone. Make up a symbol in your head that you can trace in the air in front of the boulder. Remember this symbol, it works like a key to move the boulder out of your way, and to close it behind you.
Trace this symbol over the boulder with your hand..... The boulder will slowly roll to the side so that you can pass, when you go in, trace the symbol in the air again and the boulder will close you in.
You will be in a huge spacious hallway and it will be lit by tourches all the way down. walk down this hallway. When you get to the end, there are stairs leading you down through an arched doorway.
When you pass through the doorway, you will be in an amazingly huge cavern that has a hot natural spa in the middle.
Climb into the spa and feel the hot water seep into your muscles and relax you.
Now, when you are ready, think of one of the people who has caused the situations you are so uncomfortable about. Do this person by person as it can be overwhelming if you try to do it all together.
This person will sit in the pool with you (if you find this person threatening, you can shackle them in chains across the other side of the pool, or you could put a smash proof divider screen between you). Talk to this person about what happened. How you felt, etc. Say to them everything that you want to say in real life.
Do this with the next person, then the next... etc.
When you have done this, say a prayer to god, the universe, your higher self... or whatever you believe in, to help these conversations or messages be delivered to the people they are directed at. Ask the universe to then help you let go of these things and to help you move on. Give the guilt and pain back to the universe to be turned into positive energy again.
Get out of the hot spa.... you will be dry by the time you get to the doorway. go out of the cave using your symbols to move the boulder away and then again to move it back into place..... walk to where you first started out in the glade.
Open your eyes. You should feel more relaxed and like things are a little more resolved.
They are obviously things you are yet to deal with.... you could also try writing down your troubles about the situations, then burning the paper you have written it all on. This is good for a release.
Hope I could help.

To understand a dream, it’s helpful to keep in mind why and how we dream. When we sleep, the body and perception systems are shut down, but the brain remains active. The brain thinks about what has recently been most active during waking hours—experiences, thoughts and feelings accessed recently whether consciously or not. The brain is still active, so it works on this content, but not in a familiar, rational way. During sleep, this material is not related using input from the external real world, but rather by the brain connections already established in the cortex. So the story connectedness isn’t like everyday experience, but rather a strange, circuitous flow from one image to the next. So dreams aren’t magical messages to guide our life, but dream imagery is taken from everyday experiences, thoughts and feelings that matter most to us during our waking life. So it’s a mistake to apply standard symbol definitions, such as Freudian meanings or standard “dreammoods” symbols. All you need to do is think about what kind of imagery it is and how it relates to your daily life.
These past events probably were associated with intense feelings, and very likely there was a lack of satisfactory resolution, so it's still "baggage." You've been thinking about these past events recently, whether consciously or unconsciously, and what has been active in your brain can continue as you go to sleep. Unfortnately, unless you can achieve some kind of acceptance or resolution about this past, you may continue having variations of this dream from time to time in the future.

Try to understand the fears and the events in your dream. It suggests that you might be holding on to upsetting or guilt based conflicts. You may have a lot of powerful negative feelings that require understanding.Dreams often depict your fears, they are seldom predictions. So learn from the dream to sort out what is troubling you. Don't use them to trouble yourself.

1. These things are praying on your sub\concious. Get some counselling.
2. Try not to eat tooo close to going to bed. Things like pizza and "heavy stuff" make you dream.
3. Try unloading to a friend.
4. Can you go for a swim. It gets rid of negative energy and cools you down as well.

maybe something from the past is bothering you subconciously. Try ti recall your dreams or write a dream diary to see whether you can find out why this is happening. If you can't, find a reliable psychiatrist then.

Before you go to sleep tell yourself how you want to handle the situation. I read that is supposed to help. Like if it
is someone chashing you , you would say leave me alone, I'm
calling the police. I know it sounds dumb but it's supposed to go to your subconscious mind and help deal with the dream. Hope it does.
