What are the qualities of a GOOD ANIME??
Any anime that matches with thos qualities??

I dont think that what makes an anime good is any different than what makes a normal movie good.
Good character development, good story, visuals, etc.
The difference with anime is that its telling a story that has origins in a country so unlike ours. I think thats why a lot of americans find it so interesting. Even better, a lot of them take risks american film doesnt, and has messages in them that americans wont touch.
A good example is Full Metal Alchemist. Good general story, plot, character development, high visual quality; and at the same time it takes risks not seen in american programing.
FLCL is a good one, as is Vampire Hunter D, Evangelion is good but has a poor center character, than you have Spirited away, howls moving castle, ninja scroll, and i hear bleach is very good.
So is Midori Days.

To me. what makes a good anime would be a good or an awesomely original plotline, Characters that you can either relate to or be attached with. An awesome anime would have you attached with ALL of the characters. A good setting would be another aspect of it too. Art would be a major key too but i dont really judge by it unless its really godawefull.
The few anime that i rate a 5 outa 5 with these qualities would be Cowboy Bebop, One Piece, Zoids; Chaotic Century, Record of Lodoss war (both TV and OVA), Rurouni Kenshin (as well as movie and OVA), Outlaw Star, Slayers (except for Slayers Try, but its still good), G Gundam, and Nadia.

3. closed end to the series
4. voilence
5. guns
unfortantly a lot of anime series dont match up with 3. so i can only recoment Trinity Blood, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop.........(even those are pretty well '"cliffhangered" endings)
