I recently answered a question and used the word that relates to a long-eared, slow, patient, sure-footed domesticated mammal, Equus asinus, related to the horse, used chiefly as a beast of burden. Commonly spelt beginning with `A' and ending with an `s'. I was amazed that this was sensored by Yahoo with *** when there was no vulgar intent or meaning to my answer. What the **** is happening? Talk about big a brother state.

Yeah, so much for freedom of speech. Watc what you say or someone may be offended. Watch what you say or you could be censored. Watch who's watching you?

Yahoo has nothing to do with the internet aside from the fact that its found here. The rules have been misused by trolls and stalkers. Yahoo seriously needs to find a better way that the "report abuse" crap they use now. This is supposed to be a free forum for real questions and answers. It has turned into something else altogether. Just MHO

oh the world's gone mad, there's always someone willing to kick up a stink and be offended, talk about sensitive - who in the world can still be offended by swearing? Its practically part of everyday language now? whats all this about crappy stars - why? we all know what they're hiding? Looks like you were caught in the politically correct fallout, unlucky chucky.

Your freedom ends where mine begins. I don't entirely disagree with you, but there are these guys working for yahoo that have degrees allowing them to "practice" their trade. They are some of the lowest life forms on earth, as they have the ability to suck the joy out of anything. Sadly, in our society, they are a necessary evil. Yes, I'm referring to lawyers, they are the ones responsible for taking the joys of open forum to new lows and thusly sucking said joys from it.
Simply put, they are trying to avoid lawsuits by censoring everyone. But, on the flip side of that coin, it does cause one to actually think a bit in order to utilize their vocabularies in new ways to convey their points without having to resort to "profanities".

It is just the program acting as instructed. Try putting it in capitals, with a dot between each letter, it reads the same and the computer program can't recognise it, as it is an A.S.S. It can't think, it just does.

If you where calling some one an ***, that would be considered insulting to the questioner. I got a violation, and all I said was "Boy you need to take spelling lessons" this was considered insulting to the questioner, probably because they complained.
It was a girl questioner. I just spell ed out "***" and it got changed to ***.

Maybe you should use a different word, like mule or donkey. Don't be a donkey, dude.
