It depends what you mean exactly by fat. If you mean overweight, then probably the same reason that women find overweight men unattractive... I guess it is a subconscious indicator of maybe a not so good health. If you mean a little bit of podge here and there then you cannot mean most men...because the men I know hate skinny women with no fat on them. Women tend to have more fat on them than men, it's just the way it is.

Maybe because that is where they are looking for it. Its easy to find fat unattractive wherever we look. Do you mean Why do most men find fat, unattractive on a woman? How can you say most men. I was never asked nor were my friends etc. You mean really some men?

In clothes, slim women fit the norm of society, but in bed, it is a totally different thing. Fat broads can be as good or much better in bed, and some guys, me included have a very hard time controlling an orgasm with a big lady that looks like a beached whale! All that warm and jiggleing flesh! You cant beat it and will explode in a New York minute. How many men would honestly say No to Oprah!

The media and modern culture gets a lot of the blame. When you put lots of skinny girls on magazine covers then this is obviously going to have an effect. But a recent study has shown that man’s fixation on a slim waste goes back millennia. Indeed, the most frequently referenced attribute of beauty in all ancient literature is a slim waste.

This has lead analysts to believe that it’s all about fertility. Although people who are underweight have problems conceiving, people with a slim figure are much more fertile than their larger sisters, and therefore make better mates in a world driven by procreation.

So whether culturally conditioned, or controlled by their baser instincts, men will desire slim women. But when it comes to objective beauty, your man who is immune to the will of popular culture and who has risen above his desire to reproduce will find equal beauty in a woman of any weight. in the fifties, when i was a child, fat people were a wonder because they were pretty non existent. everybody before that had either been starving or too busy foraging for a life of some kind until the depression and the second world war were over.

when fat people started to appear in droves, it was still considered unattractive. but much like abortion and other atrocities, it became common and tolerated. but it's still unattractive because it is thought that people who are obese are gluttonous and lazy.

It's just a modern fad; have a look at Marilyn Monroe and Mae West some decades ago, and the paintings of the masters were rarely of slim women; just the reverse, in fact. Also, it is cultural, in Polynesian societies it is quite acceptable to be corpulent.

It depends how extreme it is. I don't find extremely fat women attractive, but a girl who's got some meat on her ie curvy/chubby is very attractive to me. In my eyes, this shows that she hasn't got an obsession with diets and the Gym. She doesn't eat salad EVERY day and go to the gym for an hour or two a day, like the very thin people you see.

I like a girl who can let her hair down a bit, and a curvy girl is generally like that.

I was once interested in a skinny girl, and she was obsessed with fitness and only really ate salads. We didn't hit it off because she never relaxed!

Mind you, I'm not exactly Mr Universe myself!

what attracts women to men most of the time is personality and image and women only admit to finding a man attractive because of his bustling muscles and manly stubble every once in a while staking their pride on being attracted to personality so with that rationale men can be fat and attractive

men to women then is mostly physical with a dash of personality so a fat lady will need one hell of a lot of personality to compensate

as I said though men and women arent opposites so theres an infinite amount of answers to this question in that regard.

Maybe it's the media, but thin girls with large breasts and a little bit of fat on the tush is what appeals to us. From experience, their bodies 'feel' better when 'touching' them too. Fat doesn't feel good on tummy, or legs. The Breast fat is a different story, although firmer is better.
