They turn out about 500 movies a year, Indian cinema has been around for about 60 years. In the begining they must not have had that many... I'd estimate 20,000 movies. I love Indian movies so they should keep em coming!!

In Tamil Language, it was around 1000 films released..
so we have nearly 20 languages used in Films in India.
so i can say about 25,000 films were released.
