Tenjou Tenge is generic and a tad cliched,
the setting, a high school, lots of fights, lots of fan service, guy gets progressively stronger then proceeds to kick eveyrone's *** after, etc

if you read the manga, it's very gory, i guess i'm still a fan of these sorta "powers" + fights genre of show, it does get interesting, during the later part of the manga, which is animated in the Tenjou Tenge OVA,
