Actually I see equilibrium as 'poise'. Like a tightrope walker walking on a high wire--tremendous balance, but not static, but
each movement dictating the next in order to keep balance.

When I think of it scientifically it seems to me static and dead.

Equilibrium is the state in which an equal amount of one substance has been introduced into another medium/substance within a confined or enclosed area/space and both have occupied an equal amount of space within that area/space.

Philosophically speaking it would be the point where equal amounts of two opposing forces (let us say good and evil) can occupy the same space, however impossible that may be. Ying & yang basically

This vast and varied universe is the greatest example of equilibrium..... where even as great movements are taking place all the time, the sum total of everything is but a big ZERO at every point in time.

I believe that zero is manifesting into ever expanding and expiring space and time respectively.... and that is why, the sum total at any point in time is ZERO. Equilibrium is that dynamic sum total amounting to zero.
