Go with a 302 (5.0) and a c-4 auto. It is a much more compact v8 and the motor is over 100 lbs lighter. You can get the suspension upgrades, exhaust and motor mounts after market. Good luck.

No, the Checy engine will not work, you would have to change everything in the drive train..... transmission, driveshaft and reaerend all chevy of course.... like the other guy said, go with a ford engine, the 4.0 V-6 is a healthy little engine with the same power as their V-8's but alot better gas mileage.

It plenty heavy enough. There's a problem with the transmission. The 350 is a better trans than the metric. Have a trans shop look it over. If it won't go into any gear, Reverse, Drive, any, then you have a linkage problem. If it goes into gear but won't move then one of the clutch packs is burned up. Is the fluid clean and at the proper level? Good Luck.

Transmission, drive shaft, radiator and motor mounts to start with. the front suspension and brakes may need to be beefed up for the added weight. Probably more will be needed.

Any engine will fit in any vehicle with the right modifications and adaptor kit.
