I LOVE ebay - I buy and sell although I think I buy more than I sell... Sometimes it surprises me what tat sells when my decent stuff goes for peanuts or not at all...

Postage is becoming a bugbear as people get more experienced with ebay. I sold something for £6 last week, and had to add £6 postage, which barely covered the stamps let alone wrapping. It was an unusual item, I had listed it twice before unsuccessfully. Net of all the fees, I made about £4, while the buyer parted with £12. I don't resent ebay and Paypal their cuts, it's the mail companies and couriers who are getting the windfall.

My husband uses Ebay to sell but to be honest its hard work now with people wanting low prices for the best stuff. By the time you wrap it and post it insured or recorded, its not always worth the hassle. Me, I prefer to save the stuff up and go and do a car boot sale. I usually make upwards of £300 each one I do - cash in hand, no wrapping, no postage - easy money (aside from the early start and freezing weather that is ) xxx

Ebay and the people seem to have become a complete pain in the balls. It seems at least one out of evey ten people have a problem with the three dollar item you sent to them. And the only reason you even aucitioned it is because you didn't want to throw it away. And I love it when they complain about shipping even though it actually ends up costing two bucks more than you guessed so you end up with getting 8 bucks from the item rather than 10. Just throw your stuff away its way less of a headache.

Me! to be honest I've had the opposite effect - I sell what I consider to be old tat, and people pay well for it!!

e.g a game which cost me £3.00 the box was damaged so I started the listing at 99p, someone paid £9 for it!! they could have bought a brand new one for £3.00, as the shop still stocked it!!

In the words of DelBoy, "Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to sell and buy!"

I buy from ebay all the time and I pay peanuts.
If I wanted to fork out the full RRP I'd go to a shop

in the adventure that your itemizing become very sparkling, then i might want to tell them no money decrease back. in the adventure that they don't agree they could dispute it and enable Ebay or Paypal settle on. in the adventure that your itemizing become as sparkling as you're saying then you surely will probable win. in my opinion i does no longer go away any comments till they go away comments.

I just purchased shoes for $312 so you can still make money. I do both. Buy and sell. I don't have much of a problem.
