"Earth", is a geographical and scientific expression for the "world". But we use "world" to describe the whole population, societies etc. especially in the socail issues.

Nothing really. But Earth is usually used to describe the actual planet while world can mean the people and places on the Earth.

Earth could refer to where you are right now...planet Earth. World could mean everything including planet Earth. On a clear night, look up. What you see could be considered "world".-- - that and more.

Earth, I believe, is the Latin word (or greek) for 'Terrafirma', meaning the ground on which we walk. The 'World' refers specifically to the planet, and everything on it.
