Why can't Apple make bluetooth headphones?

What with all this "great" technology why can't they do bluetooth headphones? Don't you think the wires are annoying?

because battery life for player and headphones would be very poor, however a company called Kleer seems to be readying a technology that gives longer battery life to wireless headphones, they might licence it

They probably are thinking about it but maybe they are also evaluating the supposed new technology that nokia are developing which has much better battery life
