Check the lint trap, then check the exhuast hose to see if it is kinked. If so, straighted out the hose. This will cause the dryer to think that it is hotter than it truly is.

I've got a hotpoint aquarius too and find that I have to set it to high heat for about 2 hours and when I first open the door the clothes still feel damp but after a minute or so in the air they seem dry. Also have you tried using just the dryer by setting the dial on M? Always use the high heat otherwise it takes even longer.

Yeap these are a pig of a machine, if the cloths are getting hot, but not drying, you have a problem with a blockage somewhere in the condenser unit. If they are cold then there is a problem with the dryer/heater side. or more likely a fault on the board. You should only dry half a wash load with all washer dryers so I'm assuming your removing half the load for this action.

I had a GE set I bought used from a guy. They lasted 11 years. The dryer went out 1st followed in about 3 months by the washer.

i had an aquarius dryer and i always had problems with it. luckly i took out the cover that they offer you when you buy it so they got someone out to look at it. Well to cut a long story short they still had not sorted it 3 months later and with a family of five it was very hard to manage without a dryer. Well they ended up replacing it with a new one but only because I went mad and said that my old one was faulty . From my experience i think hotpoint are a waste of space.

i have a washer dryer and i had the same problem.try to move the machine away from the wall a bit sometimes this helps cause the pipes get pushed in and no hot air can circulate.hpe that helps.

I had just been researching washing machines on the net, then came to Answers.Hate to say this but the Aquarius is a model that everybody slags off in the reviews, and say that Hotpoint are very bad with customer complaints. Hopefully the other answers will resolve your question though, good luck.
