sterilisation . I have 4 kids and do not want any more but the finality scares me . My doc wants me to come of the pill as i have gained a little weight and i don`t want to be taking the pill until i`m menopausal .. i have a good 20 years or so hopefully before that happens . I don`t trust condoms and to be honest we can never get a good fitting one , my hubby has been gifted lets say in that department . My girls are 16,13,10 and 4 ..Heeeeelp what else can i do to protect myself without sterilisation ?

I am 36 . My husband will not go for the snip i have asked many times but he won`t agree , he is terrified of needles (poor man..not)

Nutster i agree with you fully ! I have had to endure 3 deliveries and an emergency section , but i guess he is selfish !

get him 2 get the snip. (vasectomy )
it's a simple operation with a quick recovery time, it's not as complicated or as intrusive as sterilisation 4 women.
well that's what i think u should do.
u've done ur bit, now it's his turn.

Why don't you want to be sterilsed? Surely 4 kids are enough? I was sterilised after 3 kids at age 30 and my youngest was 2. I haven't looked back.

Get your hubby to have the snip, I'm actually working on my hubby to get the snip at the moment. He's said he will think about it but I havent had a definite yes lol.

Depo shot lasts 3 months a time but the rods they can pop under the skin in your arm last a year a time and IF you reconsider you COULD have them removed with fertility as it was almost right away. downside, erratic, heavy or non existant periods. worth checking out, i reckon. Not quite so final feeling is it? good luck

Go for reversible tubal ligation...then, you won't have to worry, and if you ever got into a postition that you actually wanted kids again,..you could have it reversed..this is very popular nowadays. good luck hon xo...i wouldn't ask your husband to get 'snipped'...you never know, unless he can get it so it is reversable also...if you guys (God forbid) say divorced, you both might want kids with another partner...so anyway, good luck

He's definitely being extremely selfish! You've been through 4 births, one of them a major operation and he won't have a local injection and a couple of stitches? I don't think i'd let him touch me at all till he did it , let alone sex or even speaking to him.

Abstinence or the temperature method.You need the support of your husband for both of these methods.Best of luck.Your husband should be with you at this appointment because this is atwo way relationship.
