The word you seek is 'ADVOCACY' (using the spell check here would have helped you).

It is 'someone who puts and argues the case or position on behalf of another,' such as a Barrister or Solicitor in Court, although there are other types of 'Advocates.'

I hope your poor hurting head is now better ~ though I doubt your sister is really interested in the answer.

I think you mean ADVOCACY. This is speaking on behalf of someone - like in court. A Solicitior or barrister is an advocate.
