Why don't you try to work out the issues that drove you apart so that you can truly reconcile. The real isssues. There are some hard choices here. Why send a cheap card when you can have peace about these things? This is what you really want, and YOU know what you have to do to get it.

My best friend mike is in that same position right now and we just got through talking about that as a matter of fact. He says his dad hates him because they do disagree alot, but I say its because mikes dad just wants mike to be more of a man. Now don't get me wrong because mike is my best friend now and was by boyfriend 6 years ago, but mike always backed down to his dad and I always felt that is mike was stand up to him that his dad would have more respect for him and they wouldn't now be in this situation, although there is a little more to the story than that, But anyway just tonight mike said out of the blue " God I sure miss my family" and I said to him "well than do something about it" don't wait until its to late and there gone or you are, Remember we only get 1 chance in life, so don't waste it on something that possible could be fixed for the greater of the benefit. It takes courage and strength but will be so well deserving in the end, and if it doesn't go the way you thought it would, at least you will know you tried and a soul can live with that, but it can't live not ever knowing what could have been? Life is to short to waste it. Remember we all make mistakes in life at one point or another that's why god gave us forgiveness. And I'm not even religious. Good Luck

I'm not sure, and I have the same problem. I have sent cards for years, but they still pretend that I am dead. The way I see it spritually speaking...If you send cards but have no "love in your heart" towards the receivers, then you are not fulfilling the scripture to "love your enemy". So, why even bother? I stopped doing it.

I'm sorry to hear this, but if sending them a card is something you have always done, continue to do so, and if it is to let them know you still love them despite of the differences, this also is a good idea. Pray to God to get guidance on how to endure this situation. Take time to get to know yourself to see if there are any changes on your behalf that could remedy this situation, and do so. Offer any apologies and mean it, any not accepted don't dwell on it. Some situaions are beyond our control, those you give to God.

That would depend upon whether it makes you feel better to send cards and if you think that maybe the situation can be resolved. Sometimes it is better to leave well enough alone if the situation is past forgiveness, but if it isnt at this stage then only you can know this and act accordingly.

What did you do to make your family turn against you? Must have been pretty bad! I would still send them birthday cards because if you don't, they are never going to forgive you!

if u feel like to send a card, then do it. not because of "love your enemy" , its because it s always good to show kindness to the others no matter what.

having family not talk to you isn't a good thing, I've had experience of this, try and stay in touch with them as much as possible, if you don't stay in touch with them you will probably regret it when it's too late
