Only if the person doesn't clearly signpost where they got it from and tries to pass it off as their own. Saying "here's what is says on Wiki" and including the link in the source section is fine, IMO. Not everyone uses Wikipedia so putting a block on it would deny people the chance to quickly point others in the right direction.

That said, Wikipedia is no substitute for proper research on a subject, as it is a work in progress and therefore reliant on free expert input being available. This obviously isn't the case for every subject covered on there, as some entries only have "stubs".

On the flipside, I'd say it also doesn't beat a good old injection of personal opinions informed by experience! (All highly contestable of course but potentially very useful nonetheless.)

Rich T as in biscuit?
Yes, it is a bit boring, but I think sometimes it makes the point that the answer is easy to find if you just look!
Sometimes it's more fun to put the question on here and wait for the answers to come pouring in!

Ja...but I usually answer the odd-off beat questions and generally skip over the copied and pasted ones.

Yes. It annoys me when someone copies from Wikipedia or Google, and posts it as their own answer.

I ignore the long ones. They are boring and not original.

I find it rather sarcastic when they do that, reminds me of an old teacher of mine who used to give you verse and chapter for everything you asked.
