Right now, it would be a no because Shaq isn't in his best shape ever. He just came back from an injury and he's not playing at his best so no, I would not want him in my team. I would rather have an healthy player that can truly make his team win, such as Nowitzki or Marion.
Shaq is getting old and I don't think I would want a player who can't get his free throw even in a crisis moment, who also can't shot the 3 points nor dribble the ball more than 10sec.
I'm sure he's an excellent teammate, but I doubt he can make the heat win another championship... and if the heat do win again, I think it will be because of Wade, and not Shaq.

Yes for two reasons. First with Shaq you get to play 1 on 1. Even with an old Shaq he still demands a double team. Second he's still the best center in the game. While he's softening up the defence You can wait and pick them apart later. You'll see, the Eastern Confrence made a mistake. No team in the East took advantage while Shaq was out. He's back and their only 6 games out of first place. If they get back on track they'll contend with the Cavs, and Detroit for the Eastern Confrence Crown.

Shaq is dominant, knows the game, and is a great guy to have on a team. Having a player like O'neal on the floor opens the game up for other players who competition will place less focus on. I think EVERY player in the NBA would answer this question with a yes. Even Mr. Bryant...

I would say no. Yes, he is a commanding presence in the post. Yes he can block shots. Yes, he's a solid rebounder. Yes, he can make the exta pass and make plays without scoring the ball.
BUT, he has a lackluster work ethic and missess too many games. He's has been in the league too long to be a career 53% free throw shooter. That is not due to a lack of ability, but a lack of effort and dedication. What kind of leader has a lackluster work ethic? He also spends a lot of time on the sidelines in street clothes because he misses too many games for what I suspect are trivial injuries. If his knees are really injured to such an extent that he misses that much time, he needs to condition himself better and lose weight. I'm sorry people, HE IS OVERWEIGHT!!!! I think he draws out these (possibly trivial) injuries because he is overweight and in no condition to play a solid 30 minutes a game much less an 82 game season! In addition to the aforementioned points, I think Shaq talks too much. He has a little too much to say about other players and shows just as much dissent towards referees as anybody but does not get T'd up (I really don't respect that). His ego and lack of work ethic would be a knock against him in my opinion. It does not benefit anyone (the team or organization) to franchise a player regardless of how dominant he is if he is always hurt because he is out of shape and a libility in a close game because he has free throw shooting as an achilles heel. But that's just my opinion.
I would much rather play for a coach who would demand the necessary effort of his players to be the best they can be and be of the most benefit to the team. I would like to play for Greg Popovich (Spurs), Larry Brown (sitting at home in the Hamptons), Jeff Van gundy (Rockets) or Avery Johnson (Mavericks).

Yeah, of course. Shaq has that towering presence in the middle, and everyone seems to be scared to go in the paint with him guarding it around, it's just that hard because he's too big and tall. He doesn't make foolish decisions in crunchtime and I would love an aging veteran to teach me some things by my side. And in the playoffs it's all about EXPERIENCE.
But if I were him, Id watch out for the injuries.

He is one of the most dominant big men in NBA history. I would want him on my team but with his age you know he will be hurt for at least 20 or 30 games. As long as our team can make it to the playoffs and Shaq delivers, I would want Shaq.

Absolutely. He may be old, but he has accepted his role as a second option. And he still causes major matchup problems for the other team. Things open up for his teammates just because he is on the floor. The Heat will probably go to the finals again.
And I am definately not a Heat fan.

No, Shaq is too old, and probably not as dedicated to the game as he may have been years ago. There are younger players out there that can expose him, heck, Alonzo is older, and playing better than he is right now.

Nah, he's too old, slow and not so dominating anymore. I prefer a younger, healthier big man on our team. I think we need somebody like Dwight Howard of the Magic or Andrew Bogut of Milwaukee to lead our team to the Finals.

Right now, NO. He's old. If it was the Shaq during the Lakers 3-peat yes...because he was at his best and was immovable in the center.
