Yes I do, it's a policy of divide and conquer, basically they want the population to be worried it helps to govern more easily, war, global warming, immigration, environment, it all stops us thinking of the real issues, it fills the newspapers and TV news, 24 hour news needs to be fed 24 hours! so the government think up all kinds of things to keep us "uneasy" it helps them!

Somebody said, "I love my country but I fear my government."

"Atmosphere" of fear, hatred and suspicion? Where were you on 9/11/01? Devolution? What in the heck is that? Immigration didn't exist before now? What about all the way through the 19th and 20th centuries? Loss of freedoms? What about loss of lives? Doesn't that count?

I fear that our nation is doomed because of the ignorant, amoral lemmings being produced by our education system.
I suspect that the Democrat party is only interested in obtaining power for its self - not giving a damn about the Republic.
I hate it when people try to destroy the things that have made the U.S.A. a great nation.

I certainly think that the government has helped to foster the atmosphere of fear and suspicion that you describe. All governments create an overwhelmingly negative approach to something. The Thatcher government, for example, fostered a culture of 'I'm all right, Jack, pull the ladder up - sod everybody else'. We've never recovered from that, nor will we ever recover from the damaging aspects of the current administration.

Best wishes, J

Yes, yes and yes.

Created is a very important word in this question. For it implies a body willingly constructing scenarios for a purpose.

The logical synthesis would be to create the question
'why is our government creating such an atmosphere?'

Well, I have seen liberals devolve into idiot chattering zombies that spout stupidities like, "Bush is Hitler" and "war for oil" and other mindless crap. And their blind and irrational hatred has been quite unsettling.

Luckily, despite the delusional rantings of the liberals, we haven't lost any freedoms.

Perhaps someday, with therapy and heavy psychotropic medications, the liberals will recover from their Bush Derangement Syndrome and perhaps even become intelligent and rational people.

No, I think that terrorists have created fear and suspicion all over the world.

Murder, dismemberment, beheading, and bombs near school children filled with ball bearings have a way of doing that.

Yes - if they aren't scapegoating then they are scaremongering - usually to cover up a situation they created in the first place.
