there is a big hype bout "anime"....i asked wht it was...an som1 said its ADDICTIVE...luking at my youger brother i can see tht guy's correct....why are these cartoons addictive(if tht be the right word)?

May be because of the lack of excitement that we have in our life,so we compensate it by watching anime,also some anime have very interesting stories and plots,also It's good for people who have nothing to care for.also anime has extremely cute characters.
I'm 19 years old and I still can't Imagine my life without anime
for me,anime is like a world of my own,I can live in it and forget about problems and sadness.Try watching anime with a little interest and you'll really like it.

for my area, what i admire approximately anime is the way it is drawn, distinctive genres, the thoughts/plotlines, and that for the period of assessment to with almost all western cartoons, this is not like the anime viewer is being spoken to as though they have been a 5 365 days previous! actually every person from any age group will discover an anime that they love!

might be the same principle why some are addicted to other TV series, movies, sports..you get the picture. you want to have more.
anime appeals to me coz it really gives me entertainment, you get caught up in the story and the emotions of the characters, plus for me its better coz i wont see them in any other roles like actors/actresses do. =) and anything is possible!!! they can be projected in proportions and do stuffs that a real person cant do.
its not bad at at all, it has many genres to explore. some are very pleasing to the eyes, some are romantic, some are very funny, some suspenseful. most are combinations.

You know the key phsycological reason people love anime (particularly women/girls) is because the characters always have huge eyes..
This subconciously makes people associate with a baby which is designed by nature with full size eyes to get parents attention.
Thats my theory anyway :-)

cause anime is different from other cartoon
(like the america's create, which is sucks!)
it offers you a great storyline, and sometime
it's about the real life and real people....
and the anime had a strong emotion within the stories.....try it!

hum...I'm a total anime fan my self...this is my opinion..coz anime is different from the other cartoons we have in daily life. and because it usually tells about people psychology, like their life struggle, and its suprisingly inspiring! The other reason is their stories can be so creative sumtimes!!Oh...and last thing...their drawing ROCKS! >.<
