Because life was meant to be hard, a challenge, so we can learn from it. But these days we aren't trained and prepared for the hard stuff, cos parents work, and we were spoiled rotten and got everything our little hearts desired, and never learned about delayed gratification. So when things go wrong, as they are meant to do, we get depressed, and say why me, and poor me, and I'm sooooooo unhappy.
Stick your chin up, talk to somebody about your problems and worries, make some goals, reach for them, and realise that things could be soooooo much worse than they are. When my daughter was stillborn, I was very depressed until I realised that at least I made it out of the birth alive, I had a family who loved me, and that I was one of the lucky ones able to have children in the first place. It could have been worse.
Count your blessings! Look for things to be happy about! Thank God for all the small things.
Good luck!
