I had a massive battle in court12 years ago. I won. I was dressed smartly, I held my head high, and I told the court what I wanted regarding time with my daughter. I put down two weekends a month with sleepover, and two Wednesdays after school for two hours for tea with Dad. The Judge suggested that this was generous access. I did not think so. As the years have passed my daughter increased our time together because she wanted to see more of her dad. Her mother didn't like it but she had to get used to it. Guess what? My daughter now lives with me and my wife(step mom) Her legs did the talking as soon as she was old enough. Best advice to you is: Be there for them whenever you can, and don't say bad things about their mother to them. Kids hate that. Don't over question your kids about their life with their mother. Kids hate that. Make your quality time with them count for something. Kids love that. Last of all Your kids should not know any of the details surrounding the court case. It will damage them and it will hurt them deep inside. That bit is for adults. Good luck to you and don't lose your credibility in court. Her solicitor/barrister will be out to get you worked up. Don't fall for it. Remain calm and composed no matter what he throws at you.

Good luck Chief!

In a world where a lot of Dads which have been seperated from their familys couldnt give 2 hoots, its good to see that there is still some decent chaps out there. (were a rare breed now!). you obviously love your kids very much, and I hope that you get what you want..

Best wishes mate!

I hope you get access to your children. I grew up with 1 parent absent i and i know the heartache it causes. Also my children have grown up with me being there sole parent, i know they miss there dad a hell of a lot and he chooses not to see them, its been 14yrs now since he last contacted them. I wish you all the luck in the world and im sure you are as proud as your sons as they are proud of you. xxxxx
