Buy a foundation that suits your complexion and balance, go to Debenhams and have a word with the girls there, I recommend Clinique!

It depends on if your skin is oily, dry or combination. If u r oily u need a foundation that is not oily base. U would need a powder or liquid. Dry skin u would use a foundation that has a moisture in it. One with SPF in it. Combination skin can use any type foundation.

Well, it all depends on the look you want to achieve.
The mousse textured ones for example are perfect for everyday use, they're matte enough and very light on the skin. They are quite pleasant and not heavy at all.
There are foundations for a more "dewy" look and foundations that cover everything up, and half covering foundations... I myself prefer half-covering, to avoid the mask look. I do, however, have a selection of foundations, one mousse, one lighter coloured liquid, one darker coloured liquid, to cover the various states of my skin tone and state and to use depending on the occassion.

youve got to try them! you wont get anywhere unless you try them! what skin type have you got? and what coverage do you want? e.g if you want high coverage and have oily skin you wont want to go for a luminising, moisturizing foundation would you!
go for a matte if you have spots or any kind of flaws as it should hide them and also hide shine if you have shiny skin! go for a moisturizing fluid if you have dry skin!
