I was told that we have a working theory for faster than light travel, the main thing holding work back is the price tag.

NO! We have no working plan, design, or even a theory for an "engine" to travel faster than the speed of light.

That being said, we do know how to travel faster than light, and we've managed to get electricity to travel faster than the speed of light, and we know black holes and other forms of time warp is possible. The question is how do we get HUMAN BEINGS to travel at those speeds? It's not possible with current technology.

One of the reasons we really haven't spent much into space research is because we're still working with old technology as far as human travel goes, and it really wouldn't make much of a difference even if we could travel the speed of light because the nearest planet like ours (capable of sustaining life) is in a solar system over 100 MILLION LIGHT YEARS away--thus, even if we could travel the speed of light it would take 100 million years to reach anything of interest. The only way we're ever going to truly explore space is if we manage to manipulate a time/space warp of some sort.

worry-free answer is not any, no longer some thing that has a mass can go back and forth on the price of light, and the optimal speed a mass a lot less particle like a photon can attain is c (or speed of light), it fairly is a needed regulation in many cases relativity, regulations of physics grant up some thing with a mass achieving the price of light. there's a Theoretical particle said as Tachyon that cant flow slower than the price of light, yet this kind of particle has less than no circumstances been reported. I stated some human being communicate with Quantum Entanglement as a fashion for preparation to bypass to and fro quicker than comfortable (genuinely even as scientist first reported this result, they have been fairly shocked because of the very actuality this result looks to violate the regulations of Relativity) even if it has once you concentration on that been were given right here throughout the time of that you cant use quantum entanglement to provide preparation hence no longer violating the regulations of relativity

300,000,000m/second is the speed of the light.
That's 1,080,000,000 kmph
Now that speed is impossible to travel at on land.
In air, You can achieve that speed only by mass burning of a REEAALLY good fuel. The best fuel we know of is Hydrogen.
so even if there is a design for such an engine, the hydrogen cost would be very high.
Even if we meet the cost, it would be a waste of A LOT of hydrogen, so ........

It can"t happen at any price.
The speed of light has been a fact since day one and will never change.

According to the theory of relativity, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. I, myself, don't believe that it can't be done. I believe that we don't have the right tools to do it right now.

The asnwer to your question though is no.

well yea...if we could have advancements in travel....quicker than light speed, it would mean that the US would lag in the arms race...cuz all the money is going to safety in the unsafe world we live in....if we worked up the quicker than light speed...all the countries would jetison their way in 1 second flat to any country and we would be loving and call it the world with people instead of ur people my people...cuz the distance gives a warm sense of proximity once u can get there at the speed of light..but no...we need more solutions to ward off and have blood baths....and make more nuclear warheads....

Nope .. it can't be done no matter how much money you wanted to spend.

of course we have, but what holding it is that it goes so slow.
