I have an indesit cooker hood that made a loud `pop` when it was on, now it does not work, no light or extractor, is there an internal fuse in it?

Probably not. Fuses rarely make a loud pop when they blow. Probably something shorted inside and burned a wire or heating element.

Could be a transformer.

or a capacitor(starter).
