Obviously that depends. Most apparently, If you wait until you are 30 to stop taking them, that will affect your fertility, because it is harder for a woman who has never concieved to concieve after 30. If you wait until you are older than 35 more. 40 even more. That's just because of age.

As to the effects of the pills themselves, older birth control pills used to have an affect on fertility after use was stopped. They had nearly twice the ammount of hormone changing elements than modern ones, so they threw the body of kilter for longer. Modern ones, there are different studies that say different things. Some say yes. Other say no. Others say they can increase fertility or odds of twins after coming off of them.

It's not supposed to affect you from the first day you stop taking it. The hormones from the pill are not in your body after you stop taking it so it shouldn't effect you.

nope - i was pregnant 6 weeks after coming off it. new research shows that infact it may becoming apparent that women are more fertile after coming off the pill, contrary to what they thought.
