Well, I want to start a collection... But I don't know exactly what is interesting, fun and easy to find but not too expensive... Any ideas?

Shotglasses... almost anyplace you go any state has them.. some have funny sayings.. a lot of trendy restarants have them such as the hard rock cafe and there are different locations of that place to collect too... you can purchase old collectable ones on ebay as well ... Happy Collecting whatever you decide to collect....

beer mats thats the student one can get some really cool ones. drumsticks another student one go ask any live band for some after they finished their set. can get beer mats and drumsticks frame beermats with drumsticks on wall. i got loads that way. stamps, postcards, street signs only messing there know people got in real trouble for that one lol.

I know... how about drink coasters from restaurants or pubs that you've been to. That way you can memorialize the events, weather it's a night out with family, lunch with the girls, or a special date.

Pez dispensers (my mom collects them), hand carved wooden boxes (they are great! you can find them at vintage stores, yard sales and flea markets), tea pots, ashtrays, cookie jars.
