Here is a different take on "being in control".... being a man is about being a leader. Not the kind of leader who HAS to have control over others, but the kind of leader that Jesus was, a servant-leader.
Another take on your phrase.... a man should be well in control of himself. That keeps him from being selfish and rude.

Totally disagree! You think because you have male gentral that you must be in control. If you MUST be in control then you really shouldn't be. The best control is the control you let someone have.

You cannot be acclaimed as a man, by claiming a control over the environ. You are a man, according to man, if you have control over yourself. Controlling your mind is more difficult than controlling a herd of elephants.

How literal are we being here? If you're talking biological difference, then I agree, but there's more to it than that.
Emotion, judgment, morals and values all come into play, as well as many more factors if you're a man who also happens to be a father... or a brother... or a son... or am uncle... or a husband... there are more variations, but I'll end there.
God bless.

Absolutely not!
--------------------
A controlling man is nothing but a *wimp* under a mask|
A *real man* is a man of *integrity* - who stands up for things on *principle,* and who defends those who cannot defend themselves||
But the real man always gives in when it is merely a matter of opinion, taste, or preference - this takes more courage than you can imagine||

I agree. men have weaknesses. some men rule their lives with anger. being the essence that commands, that directs that processes. The anger becomes the confidence, which makes them feel more manly!
