I'd fly directly into Caticlan from Cebu if I were you. It's so much easier and quicker.
However, if Iloilo is your choice, then have a look at http://www.boracayisland.org/gettingthere.shtml
Don't worry, you'll easily be able to get there, be it by bus or by private taxi.

I would agree with Geoff M here and you should really look into flying into Caticlan. The bus ride from iloilo is quite long.
You'll have plenty of people "haggling" you at iloilo if you need a ride anywhere, so as far as options go, there's plenty. The question here is which ones are credible, honest, and will charge you a honest rate. We came across this scenario a few years ago during our first trip and I tell you, it was a pain, especially if they know you are "spokening dollars". It was good that my mother still had her native tongue and could bargain and get a good assessment of a fair deal.
The link that Geoff M has noted has identified several good bus companies that can take you from iloilo to caticlan, but why go through the hassle of the long bus ride? It's definitely worth it to bypass the long bus ride.
As a last resort, call the hotel that you are staying at and ask if they can arrange transport for you. We've always stayed at Boracay Regency Beach Resort and they've always arranged for our transportation to and from the island.
Good luck!!

If your could change your flight so you could arrive in catiklan so you could skip the 2-3 hour winding bus ride, then do so.
If you can't, don't worry about finding a bus. Once you get out of the airport you will find lots of buses or jeepneys waiting for anyone who would like a ride. Don't be afraid to ask around so you could get a better deal. Choose a big bus so the ride could be less "bumpy" and find an air conditioned one...temperatures will be warm.
If you already found a place to stay in Boracay, The bus ride, boat ride (and a bike ride if the place if a bit farther from where the boat docks)will already be included (both ways)in the whole package. If not, I advise that you do find a place first before your flight.
So this should be your whole travel itinerary: Arrive in Aklan, take a 2 hour bus ride, then a 30 minute boat ride (or 15 minutes if it's a speed boat) , and a bike ride to your resort.
Good luck.

The Ceres bus leaves every hour on the half hour all morning in Lawaann Terminal on the national highway to Caticlan starting at 4:30 am. The cost is P260 per person and the ride takes aprox 5-6 hours because the road is not in good shape.
The flights from Manila to Aklan Airport only run durring peak season so flying there in Febuary is not an option.
Cabs are not allowed to drive all the way there so the only 2 options left are to go to one of the malls and catch a seat on a VFH (Van) or rent a private car and driver for about P4,000.

there's a flight from Cebu to Caticlan directly but if you already got a ticket, from iloilo airport take a taxi going to Jaro bus or van terminal going to caticlan. I recommend van because its faster and no stop overs. based on your schedule, dont worry you can get right away a trip going to caticlan, it leaves every 30mins to 45 mins interval. Its 4 to 5 hrs trip from iloilo to caticlan pier. then 20mins boat ride to boracay. pls check my avatar for further assistance.

been to and LOVE the two places.Boracay has the greater powerful coastline for me whilst cebu has different possibilities different than the coastline, historic websites (Magellan landing website, church homes, and so on.) Cebu stay became greater costly yet i stayed in Shangri la,Mactan Island. This an particularly solid motel/ inn and there is no lodging in Boracay comparable to it. the city is approximately 40 minutes faraway from the island, the place the airport is likewise located. In boracay, there are various much less costly coastline inns straight away fronting the coastline. foodstuff is inexpensive and interior of strolling distance away. Flights directly to Caticlan by ability of smaller planes like Asian Spirit or Sea Air. the two places supply solid night existence.

You really need somebody there to meet you and escort you around for a while. They are gonna rape your wallet dude. I don't care how savvy you think you are as a traveller, filipinos are very skilled at getting your money from your hand to theirs in more ways than you can imagine. They're not likely to hit you over the head or rob you (unless your drunk) but they take great pride in their ability to rip someone off.
