Vince Young is not going to be another Michael Vick. I too watched the Titans every game this year and seen improvement in Vince in almost every game. This kid "would" have been a senior in college last year, but instead was a rookie on what was supposed to be a horrible Titans team. I remember the beginning of the season and people thought the titans were one of the worst teams in the league. They ended up a win or so away from the playoffs.
Vince is learning better throwing mechanics, and once he gets that down... Wow.
The titans will be in the playoffs next year because of him and pac-man.

He might be another Young -- Steve Young. Shoot, just because Vince can run and Vick can run does not mean that they are or will be the same. And Vick got his team into the NFC Championship Game just two years ago, so I wouldn't write him off either. It's probably still too early to tell what kind of career Vince will have, but at this point, there's no real reason to believe that he will not be successful. Just this year, to take a team from 0-5 to the brink of the AFC playoffs is exceptionally impressive. I'd consider Vince to be "the man" until proven otherwise.

Yeah. Young is another Vick except not as fast and right-handed. He has got to read defenses better and learn to rely on the other players to help. The offense he ran in Texas was vanilla with simple formations designed to allow him run QB draw plays. The defenses in college are not as quick or complicated which allowed him to run for big yards.

He has got to learn to read his receivers on hot routes and when to checkdown to those hot routes. The Titans don't have much around him now, but if he keeps pulling the ball down and trying to be a one man show, most of the receivers in free agency will not want to come to Tennessee.

I'd rather have Vince Young in a Falcons uniform than Michael Vick ANY day.

Young stepped onto a horrible Titans team, and had them a win or two from a wild-card playoff spot. He showed poise and leadership, and a huge upside.

Vick has shown that he has zero leadership ability, has a boatload of apologists making excuses for his mediocre career, loves weed, VD, and to flip off the people who pay his salary.

Now, people, you tell me who you would rather have under center for your favorite team?

Houston Texans fans, you should just kill yourselves. Your franchise hates you, and they passed up THREE potential hall of famers (Young, Bush, and Leinert) in favor of a name that was on nobody's lips until the Texans drafted him. How ARE those Mario Williams jerseys selling?

hes what micheal vick should have been. people forget vince young threw for over 300 yards in the rose bowl, that was more yards passing than leinhart and he doesnt run anywhere near as much as vick does, he runs more out of necessity than anything, he will be a good passer as he progresses. the smartest move was keeping jeff fisher in tennessee as his coach and norm chow is a good qb's offensive coordinator.

He'll be the next Steve McNair the way he's going now, but if he gets the right training (mentally), he could be the next Steve Young.

He can pass, Mike Vick can't. He looks to throw FIRST and run SECOND, Mike Vick looks to run FIRST and only throws when he feels he can't run. Vick is a bum, Young has start potential. It all depends on who develops him and how he's developed.

i saw young in the rose bowl and he was amazing! if i had a heisman right then and there i would've given it to him. but for the pros, he has the potential, but the track record for scrambling QBs has been dismal in the past. i think he's less of a scrambler than vick. to tell the truth, i think its too early to tell. most of the better QBs have emerged after years behind a veteran, so if he doesn't learn fast his NFL career could be short lived.

I agree his throwing motion is gonna get him in a lot of trouble in the years to come. Everyone says how great he did this year well they didnt look at his qb rating which was downright terrible. Teams will key in on his scrambling abilities and the Titans will SOL.

I'm a Patriot fan, but stockpiling his rookie cards! Stud QB in the making. He might win the big one someday, Vick will never!
