I think it matters it just depends on what suits the individual person but there is nothing worse than a naturally fair skinned person that has baked them selves in the sun to look browner and they end up looking all leathery looking

In Europe they sure do. It's a sign of royalty or at least it was long time ago. In general, people like natural skin. The fake tanned skin looks very....fake.

well alot of asians do like fair skin but dark skinned people can be just as beautiful..

i have fair skin and I love having fair skin it suits me i think and have had no complaints. dont think tan would suit me and couldn't be bothered going to all that trouble anyways. it depends on person some people just dont suit having fair skin.
