A Scotsman would laugh and then be your mate! Cause you had the nerve to take the mick out of him! A nation like Scotland isn't that sensitive!

It's perfectly all right to refer to a Scot as a "Haggis," but it's not very fair on the poor Haggis, who only got trapped there when Hadrian built the wall, and they couldn't get back home.

Now unhappy in the cold and damp glens, the poor things shuffle around, eating oats, with nothing much to look forward to.

If I were a Scot, which thank God I am not, I would be proud to be called a Haggis. What survivors they are; unlike the whinging drunks you meet on the streets of Glasgow!

I love the Scots really.....men in skirts really turn me on!

It is not racist to call a Scot a haggis.
It is not racist to call the French frogs.
It is not racist to call us English rosbeefs.
It is not racist to call an Indian poppadom.

It is however gross stupidity on the part of the politically correct morons to have whipped this Jade Goody nonsense up to such a fever pitch of hatred. It is also notable that the overwhelming majority of the said hatred, ignorance and intolerance comes from the politically correct morons and is directed at Jade.

I conclude that not only are the politically correct morons stupid, but they are grossly irresponsible, ignorant, intolerant and downright dangerous.

If you do not believe me then look at the many questions on here about Jade and pay particular attention to the answers from the politically correct and there you will see numerous examples of the most extraordinary ignorance.

There was another name she used which was much more offensive as it used the fornication word but for some reason people just talk about her saying Shilpa Poppadom. That said, if people called a Scottish person Haggis as part of a bullying campaign then it would be just as bad.

I think she was trying to say poppadopolos, (How strange when I went to spellcheck that it came up poppadom! No offence meant)ok I know that's not Indian but she wouldn't. She prob got it from EastEnders. My fella is Scottish and is known as Uncle Haggis and is fine with it. All depends on the person.

i've got on no account had haggis, nor do i think of that I ever will. i admire oatmeal, yet i'm no longer prepared on the assumption of having it in a sheep's abdomen. i do no longer think of that any one could "scouse borrow" haggis from every person. whilst it would desire to be a accepted dish in Scotland, they are greater advantageous than welcome to it. although, Scotland has given us Scotch whiskey (the only malts are surprising) and smoked salmon, which i admire.

I am of Scottish decent, but I view myself as an American and honestly had never heard this term before. But yes, it is equally as racist as any other word that was created to ridicule or hurt others. Racism, reverse-racism, or any form of discrimination is wrong.

What's wrong with their first name? If you don't know it, ask.
