Where ever did you come up with the figure of 148. Saddam killed more than that in one day...and he was in power for years.
He was a tyrant, killing any and everyone that opposed him. He even gassed the Kurds. He needed to have his head chopped off not just hanged. He ranks up there with Joseph Stalin and Idi Amin.
