are not the majority of businesses cash based?

As has already been pointed out, trades people, like plumbers, do some cash work although I would not employ that plumber because he would have to be paid by cheque, simply to keep my husbands accounts easier to manage.

My husband is a sole trader, he does not mind cash or cheque, it does not matter to him because he does not earn enough to be VAT registered. I guess the bigger the business, the less likely they are to handle cash. It is heaps easier to deal through banks.

The government can't keep tabs on cash, they much prefer to be able to control cash flow by means of credit or loans and stuff for example.

If a customer comes in your shop and wants to pay by switch, then you have to provide the machinery to accept cards, then you have to pay by card, because your supplier does not accept cash, being VAT registered and all. So it goes on, an ever decreasing circle of cash, an increasing circle of credit.

I do not think that it is quite dead yet. My local plumber tells me he is much too busy to get to the bank and therefor I always pay him cash. I have offered to pay by BACS but he never seems to have his bank account details with him.

we will eventually see chips in the wrist or the forehead which will be used to sell & purchase. Bible refers to this as the mark of the beast with the number that represents human beings (666). one-world currency, one-world government, probably not going to happen anytime soon but will eventually rise & fall along with the world's one-ruler. Anti-JC.
