Yes. For starters it is called "the six degrees of Kevin Bacon" or "the six degrees of separation".It is based on the idea that anyone on earth can be connected to any other person on the planet through a chain of aquaintances that has no more than 5 other intermediaries. Basically with Kevin Bacon persay, any person on earth can be linked to him because he is one of the most popular ppl on earth. Then you end up with a "Bacon Number"

An Example: Carrie Fisher to Kevin Bacon

Carrie Fischer was in Star Wars with
Harrison Ford was in The Fugitive with
Tommy Lee Jones who was in Batman Forever
Val Kilmer who was in Heat with
Robert Dinero who was in Sleepers with
KEVIN BACON!

Yes, you try to connect a person to Kevin Bacon through six people or less. It doesn't have to be an actor or celebrity, it can be anyone. It comes from the movie "Six Degrees of Separation".

Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Associating film history or trivial facts and linking them up with 5 other celebrities until you arrive at Kevin Bacon.

Yah, it's caled 6 degree's to kevin bacon. i haven't played it in a while, but it can get pretty hard if you don't know your stuff (movies kevin bacon's been in and the names of his co-stars.. and other people in film)...
Someone names an actor or actress and you have to name 5 other people and the movies they were in to get to a last person that was in a movie with Kevin Bacon (hence the title "6" degrees to kevin bacon... a total of six people). Like if you say Winona Ryder than you would be like: Winona Ryder who was in Beetle Juice with Michael Keaton- who was in Batman with Jack Nicholson- who was in the departed with Leonardo Di Caprio- who was in the titanic with Bill paxton who was in Apollo 13 with the man himself KEVIN BACON. BAM-O. There ya go.

Tough isn't it?... Especially when you're drunk

Ahahahahha... I performed this recreation with my chum quite a few years in the past... Queen Latifah became in Chicago with Catherine Zeta Jones. Catherine Zeta Jones became in Entrapment with Sean Connery. Sean Connery became in playing through heart with Ryan Phillipe. Ryan Phillipe became in Gosford Park with Alan Bates. Alan Bates became in An unmarried woman with Jill Clayburgh. Jill Clayburgh became in beginning Over with Kevin 1st Baron Verulam. Six degrees of Kevin 1st Baron Verulam! EDIT : aaaahhhhhhh How ought to I ignore that Queen Latifah became starring in that damned stupid piece of sh*t action picture elegance save with Kevin 1st Baron Verulam.

You watch Footloose, and then Flatliners, and take a shot of vodka every time you feel like turning it off.
