Not meaning to be offensive, but being from Eastern Asia (Korea) I find it very annoying when Indian people say they are Asian, just because they are located near Asia it does not mean that they are Asian. If this was a reason then does that mean Russians are Asian since the country is near China? No. Indians have totally different traditions and their body features/figures are completely different+ other countries which are Asian do not worship the cow. Indians have different foods aswell, i have seen no noodles in the indian diet, prob onli rice. I know many other Asians (excl. indians) agree with me, do you

I'm Filipino. I consider Indians as asians because India belongs to the continent of Asia. Asia is the most diverse continent, rich in culture and traditions. That's why it's no problem for me if they have much more different culture/traditions than most asians.

yes, but maybe they are different. The word 'asian' is used for people belonging to the continent of Asia, not because of features, figures, tradition, diet etc. It is good, asia has got more diversity and variety.

Of course they're Asian. Asia means everything over as far as the Mediterranean sea. It includes China, India, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Russia east of the Ural Mountains, Armenia, Turkey east of Istanbul and even part of Egypt (the SInai Peninsula).

country is recognised by its capital sir !

russians are called europeans because their capital (moscow) is in Europe.. Russia lies in two continents ( Europe and Asia) ... this is the reason for confusion for most people... it is often called a part of eurasia to avoid the quandary

being a asian has nothing to do with closeness to china.. my dear friend.. asia is a huge continent with diverse cultures.. it is the birthplace of all the religions of the world.. it extends from israel to japan....

plz don't get confused.. india is very much a part of asia as japan, thailand, saudi arabia, oman, iraq, bangladesh, vietnam, malaysia, srilanka and many other exotic countries including china are...

hope this satisfies u..

u can check out this link to know the vastness of the great continent called Asia

Technically yes,Indians are Asian. I find your comment abt Indians worshipping da cow real offensive. You wouldent like it if i called your people a bunch of ancestor worshippers now would u? You are ignorant and annoying.

You answered your own question when you said you were Eastern Asian. Indians consider themselves South Asian.

haha. They don't look Asian & you have a very good point saying just because they are close to the country doesn't make them the same because I'm an aussie & fairly close to Indonesia but I'm aussie
But what does it matter though
we are all humans & no race is better than the next as long as they are nice people & not killing etc
I love you all as people

Yes, wasn't Buddha asian? Wasn't he from India? I don't really consider indians the same kind of "asian" as other asians though.
