The career I want is one of a more law-enforcement nature and it requires a 4-Year College Degree to be considered for application.

So I was just wondering what kinds of things have you studied so far, and if you've found the studies overwhelming at times or have they been simple throughout?

I've got a criminology degree. They've all been pretty simple. More interesting than I expected actually. For my white collar crime, I read stuff about the Savings and Loan scandals, saw videos of John Glenn (the astronaut and now politician) and John McCain weasel and flat out lie on TV. Total scumbags. Because of those videos, I really don't have any respect for them despite their popularity now. Read a book on a mobster turncoat. Saw studies on recidivism rates based on when a kid is incarcerated. Really cool stuff.

Hi Jonathan

I have an LLB. But I certainly found some of the work towards gaining it overwhelming at times. The key, I think, is to stick at it. As with most things in life when you finally achieve that which you have worked so hard to achieve, the feeling of elation and pride knocks all the negative aspects into oblivion.

Good luck and best wishes, J

Take it from someone who was a cop for over five years, the job sucks and you don't want to do it! You think you do, but you don't! Get your degree and get a real job...TRUST ME!!!
