you can help a tan along, but you can't get a good tan just by pills,
there is a new pill out there that increases your sex drive and was originally meant for tanning!

the supplements that increase a little your natural sun based tan and are healthy for you, are zeaxanthin and tyrosine

and then there is Bremelanotide. It was a pill to accelerate tanning, but turned out that it increases your sex drive --for both men and women.

then there are the bad tanning pills.
typically contain the pigment canthaxanthin. Although the FDA has approved the use of canthaxanthin as a color additive in food, it has not approved its use as a tanning agent. Much larger quantities of canthaxanthin than the amount used as a food coloring must be ingested to change skin color. After canthaxanthin is consumed, it is deposited throughout the body, including in the skin, which turns an orange-brown color, and also the internal organs (liver, brain, etc.).

Canthaxanthin-based tanning pills have been linked to dangerous side effects, including hepatitis (inflammation of the liver) and canthaxanthin retinopathy (formation of yellow deposits in the retina of the eye).

Tanning Accelerators Most tanning accelerators are lotions or pills that contain the amino acid tyrosine. Makers of these products believe that the tyrosine stimulates and increases melanin formation, thereby accelerating the natural tanning process. However, more scientific data is needed to determine the validity of these claims and to assess the safety of using large amounts of tyrosine.

Its called Mystic Tan, at almost all tanning solons now have it. U stand in what looks like a tanning booth and u have a hair cover, goggles and if u want ur bathing suit and it sprays on a tan that lasts up to 4 weeks and u can keep going back if u want it to get darker or not

you can always go to the solarium even though it is really bad for you, you can purchase tanning accelerators/lotions and tanning pills to help you tan faster. There are a variety of tanning lotions some that are "hot creams" these encourage blood circulation and the blood vessles rise to the top of the skin allowing you to tan faster. The tanning pills help the melenin in your skin rise to the top level.

Hope this has helped =]

Actually, the new spay on tans use a very safe vegetable dye. It's not permanent, but is lasts longer than the cream "fake-n-bakes"!

"dying" skin isn't natural, honey. Neither is coloring hair...
A suntan is as natural as you can get--if you need to artifically color your skin, you'll have to do it like everyone else, with a fake tanner or a spray on tan (dye).

You could get yourself born with a darker complexion next time, if you believe in reincarnation. That's the only 'natural' way, other than the sun.
