in china, japan, Korea & taiwan, confucianism is as popular as taoism & buddhism. these 3 philosophies/ religions are inter-related & easily identified in chinese, japanese, korean & taiwanese cultures, like funeral procedures, morals & values, etc.
china has already relaxed the religions' issues few years ago, except for falun gong.

I don't think they practice religion openly in china...i might be wrong there im not sure but it would be buddism and the same in japan as well as shinto and christianity
