I know I would. So perhaps there's someone out there with a van, that's been thinking about it and maybe would like some company? I live in Sheffield South Yorkshire. We could go down late one night, and work most of the following day or two days....just to do "our bit"

I mean, it is an environmental issue and seen as I'm chasing job interviews, I can't see a better or more fulfilling way to spend a day at the coast. Any thoughts?

Well maybe the Sheffield Star or its Publishers could lay on a van for the volunteers and get some free publicity to boot. I've already posted this same question on the Sheffield Forum and sent my "request to the STAR" team.

Distance is irrelevant to me, but I would say that seen as I have no job currently. Maybe the RSPB will give me a permanent job?

Hmmm I know what employers can be like...maybe they would sponsor you to go?? what d'ya mean "hardly likely" ... I'm 260 miles or so away, that aint far is it? The driver could sleep all day...

Perhaps you could join a group that's already at work there? I know the RSPB are already very active there, but there may be others, including people in your area...?

I have no clue where that is, but even so, I would go. I live in Utah. We humans can be so stupid sometimes, we create unnecessary waste, then don't dispose of it properly. It's disgusting how big of slobs some people can be.

I would too, but like you, I'm miles away (in W. Yorks) with no transport. Plus with my sometimes pointless job I'd probably get sacked for having time off to go and do something so worthwhile!!

Its not worth it. You dont want to meddle with other peoples cast offs. You should see what they get up to while your tucked up asleep. She's on here before the sun comes up, go an look, doin wat she dose best while you are probly fast asleep. You must be mad. want to talk to me instead.
