You shouldn't burn the waste as it will cause air pollution.
Taking it out to the trash is good too but maybe...you want to gain something from your trash?
1)Any waste like food or fruits skin can be used as fertilizer for your plants,just bury them in your flower pots.
2)If you have time, sort them out according to it's type like plastic, paper and glass then you can get some money by recycling them.
3) Aluminium tins can be used as mini containers or you can turn them into decorations!

i you have an independent house or a bit of land, the best is to dig a small pit, and put your household waste in, then cover it with a layer of soil.continue this process.The end result is you have also made your own good compost and disposed off your waste.

Everything we use and make waste from can be recycled with a little thought. First newspaper, glass, cans, and cardboard can be recycled in store areas recycle bins. Some of your food waste can be put in a composter, or compost heap. I even recycle the rainwater we get in the winter by putting large barrels under my downspouts to collect water, then in summer I hook my hose up to those barrels and water my garden.

do you mean the waste from building them or what people living in them produce? most things are reclaimable or recyclable or reusable in some form. What do you mean by manage? do you just want a easy way to get it gone, or a way to lessen it or what?

Separate it by material: glass, metal, plastic, paper.
The paper could be used to heat the garage or BBQ.
The organic waste could be to nurture your garden.
Then the other materials sell them every 3 months to the recycling companies.
