I set my alarm an hour before my husband get up so I can have time for my self.
It takes me at least 2 hours to wake up.
First, I wash my face, brush my teeth and comb my hair.
I put my CD of Waylon Jennings in my bose and drink 2 or 3 cups of coffee.
I shower and finally feel like a human being.

Wake up at 5.
Press Snooze a couple times, climb out of bed at 5:30.
Jump in the shower, then brush my teeth, deodorant, etc...
Get dressed, feed the dogs, get the espresso machine ready for my girlfriend.
Kiss her good-bye then head to work on public transport.
I live in Hong Kong

Wake up, slip jeans on, look out window to connect with the sky and weather, down the stairs in a happy hurry, coo to plant at the bottom of stairs, brew quick cup of hot tea, slip clogs on and a hoody jacket and out onto deck to see the ocean bay and check on what the birds are doing. Sea gulls should be at work already at the cannery or out at sea with the oyster boats for the day, blue jays should have possession of the tallest tree, until a rude gang of crows pushes them off, eagles should be sitting on posts fishing for salmon, cormorants should be dunking under the water for cannery oyster guts, geese and ducks should be floating around avoiding sea lions who eat them, teeny-tiny birds should be flittering around in the blackberry bushes, two choo-choo trains of clouds and morning mists should be chugging across the land, one headed out with the river the other heading in with the ocean tide, a momma deer and her three kids should be picking their way down the mountain behind me, working their way to the blackberries for their breakfast. We say hi, all those critters and I. I watch with binoculars and they show off for me. There's an evil lady hawk, too. Then, back inside to coo at more houseplants and transplanted plugs of moss and such. Then, internet news/e-mail and a banana. Then, I grab my camara stuff and head out to the beach and wild life refuges for pictures while I have that slanty morning light. Then, I stop at some queasy spoon diner on the coast and have a big breakfast with fishermen and read newspapers. Then, back home to get an old Buddhist priest I look after out of bed and ready for another fine day.

I make myself a cup of black coffee, turn on the early news and ride my exercise bike and do 20 minutes of weight training before anyone else gets up! I feel great after the exercise and "me" time and am ready to start my day.
