Say a cop asked me where I was at a certain time. Could I tell him I was having sex with his mother? How much trouble would I get in?

Usually, if a cop wants to know where you were at a given time, it is (as you know) a chance for you to give an alibi for a crime he suspects you of. Giving him a wise-*** answer may amuse him and make him let you go, but my experience is that it just pisses them off, and they find a reason to bust you. There is a crime called 'obstructing justice' if you give a cop a hard time, or deliberately mislead him while he is investigating a crime, you could go to jail for a year (if you were convicted). Not likely, more likely you would just spend a day or two in jail while they nail down where you really were during the time in question. They can hold you for up to 72 hours if they suspect you of a felony.

Say a cop watched you fall helplessly on the curb where you lost your top and bottom sets of front teeth?

Why would you say something so troublesome to a cop? They've got a hard enough job as is. Just get out of trouble, whatever you did, and show a little respect, even if you're lying through your teeth.

You know, cops can usually just walk around your car and find a violation. Idiots like you usually end up doing hard time with sodomites.

Don't break the law, and the cops won't bother you.

If it was true then no. But if He happened to like His mother He would probably want to make sure that She ended up with someone She wouldn't have to visit on weekends.

The cops can only ticket you for what they saw you do wrong.

Sure they can sue you as citizens in small claims court but so can anyone.
