I've just seen The Cronicles of Riddick and don't understand?

Question

Firstly, is Ziza (the mix race looking girl) his daughter and if yes who is the mother?
How did his eyes get like that?
Who is kera/jack and is she and Riddick related in any way because it seems like whenever anything bad happens its her fault.
Any other vauable info would be appreciated a lot.
p.s I haven't seen the first riddick. TCOR is a good film but a bit confusing.

This movie is loosely based on Isaac Asimov's short story Nightfall. Initial concept art for the movie in fact, displays its title as Nightfall......


Ziza
In COR...Riddick helps Imam, his wife and his daughter escape from the Necromongers....Ziza is Imam's daughter.

Eyeshine
According to Riddick, while in Butcher Bay he received an eye surgery, or a "surgical shine job," as he calls it, from a doctor that gave him superlative night vision, but, in turn, made his eyes more sensitive to light; thus, he wears tinted welding goggles to protect his eyes. According to Riddick, the surgery cost him twenty Menthol Kools.

Jack/Kera
Kera is Jack fromthe first film...a stowaway who dressed as a boy to prevent herself frombeing raped as she travelled the backroads of space...
she immediately took to Riddick with a sort of hero worship that although Riddick would not admit it...he found endearing. There is a very pivotal moment in the movie where a secret Jack is keeping... puts the survivors in jeopardy...can'ttellyoumore...you gotta see the film Pitch Black.
In COR...she has grown up in the years that Riddick has been away dodging bounty hunters...and her hero worship have put her in places and through things no one should ever have to go through. That they both love one another is clear in this movie...but you really have to watch Pitch Black and Fury(the animated movie)...toget more of the story you are missing...

Back to Riddick's eyes..."Into Pitch Black"... was an hour-long promotional piece for PITCH BLACK that ran on the US's SCIFI network in 2000. It was written and directed by M. David Melvin and presents a fictional narrarative that basically discusses investigators looking into the crash of the Hunter-Gratzner. It combines new characters with footage from PITCH BLACK to tell this story, along with providing some background on Riddick himself.

The only way I know of is to purchase the Region 2 (Japan) DVD, as it is included there as an extra. Keep in mind that you need either a region-free or Region 2 player to watch it. At one point SciFi.com had an entire section of their website done up that mirrored the fiction of the INTO PITCH BLACK piece, but it's gone now.

You definitely should see Pitch Black, even though the 2 movies are just barely related.

Not sure who Zeeza is, I don't know exactly what reason she was introduced into the movie. Riddick's eyes... as he says in "Pitch Black" which was the first movie... you get eyes like that if you kill a few people. It's got something to do with his race though.

Kera was JACK in the first movie, but changed her name due in part to some reason or another having to do with training and how many people she's killed. as she says, Jack is dead. she's a new creature now.

She's not related to Riddick at all. they, along with the priest like dude were the only 3 to live from the first movie.

I didn't watch the middle movie because it was animated and it just pissed me off that they made it animated instead of an actual movie, but I guess it links everything together and explains what happened to Kera and Riddick and that bounty hunter is introduced.

TCOR sukd real hard unlike the first one " PITCH BLACK" that movie was ****** awsome.
