Hey, Ive got my pc sitting next to my xbox 360 and i want to connect to xbox live through it. The pc has a wireless thing at the back to connect to our wireless router downstairs. Does any one know if there is a way to connect to xbox live through the ethernet cable to xbox live on my wireless pc?

Yes. First you need a so called "Crossover" ethernet cable. You need this to connect your Xbox with your PC.

Then run the Internet Connection Sharing Wizard on your PC. It will guide you step by step to let devices connect to the internet through your PC.

If you already have a Wireless router, try to get the WLAN adapter for the Xbox. However it costs about $70, but if you keep in mind, that your PC has to run all the time as long as you want to play Xbox, you will save a lot of electrical power.

A normal PC will use up about 100 to 150 Watts while running. The Xbox uses 180 Watts. So you will approximately save half of your power bill, if you only have your Xbox running instead of routing it through the PC.

umm how is your computer getting the internet? without telephone socket contained in the room. when you're turning out to be on the spot internet contained in the room already, merely get a on the spot community adaptor for the xbox, then you surely wont want to have your computer on each and every of the time your utilizing the xbox (that you would in the adventure that your utilizing internet bridgeing) once you've stressed out internet get entry to easily get a hub and run yet another line to the xbox. in case you dont have stressed out/on the spot internet contained in the room it wont count number the way you connect the computer and xbox.
