<>Basically, it is saying that there is not just one universe; there is an infinite number existing simultaneously and that, in every one of those universes, a different variation of each momment of time is played out so that everything that can happen, does happen. For example, as I type this, there is another me typing and instead of a letter "s" he types a letter "t", and another one types a letter "u" and so on and so on. Within these universes every possible combination of history is played out. The "new" version of this is called "String Theory."

You might be referring to the multiverse theory. The theory is that there are parallel universes for every possibility. That means that there is a universe where you weren't born. There's a universe where you went to the bathroom 3 minutes later than you really did today. There's a universe where life never existed on Earth. Basically every possibility is expressed somewhere in a parallel universe. For every decision you make, there is a parallel universe where you made a different decision. You get the idea hopefully.

I think you might be refering to the theory that black holes lead to another universe. But im not exactly sure.
Oh okay I did a little quick reading I actually have had the same thought alot of times. The parallel universe theory basically says that the universe is just one of hundreds. That maybe we are like a ball in a childs ball pit. Or like the universe is a cell in some creature. It is all very interesting to think about. It may sound far out there but its very possible.

Parallel universes are part of string theory. It is best imagined that our universe is a straight line (call it a time line if u wish) and sitting next to our line are infinite other lines each with their own universes. With infinite universes is infinite possibility. The creationists say that evolution is impossible that the odds are too slim for it to have even begun but, if you factor in that there are infinite universes then odds mean nothing. Say the odds are 1:1,000,000,000,000,000,000,00,000,000 (and so on LOL) that life would start. With an infinite amount of tries then life WOULD start. We just happen to be in one of the universes that it DID start. Lucky us, huh?
