Question about dreaming of death?

Question

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else had a similar dream and could make me feel better. I had a dream that my father told me I was going to die after I had my second child(my first is 2 months old right now). I was wondering what this is suppose to mean? I have been really scared of death here lately before I had the dream and have been reading NDE forums. I hope someone can help to put my mind at ease.

I could not figure out how to reply in this forum.lol My Father is very important to me and I would believe anything he told me because he is a person that fabricates things, but he has never made predictions or been very spiritual. Also, he is still alive. I did not have many complications in my pregnancy, the only thing was my blood pressure was high a lot and gained a lot of weight. I had a pretty good birthing experience and had a quick labor which I am very thankful for and I love my little girl very much and would never ever want to leave her. I have been so afraid of dying and I know it is rather stupid to fear something that will eventually happen one day. I don't want to leave my child with out a mother and I have never had to worry about anyone but myself until I had her. Thank you all for your replies. I feel a little better still freaked out by the dream, but I guess it is just a dream and I should not worry about it.

i'm not a psychologist but it's my major (if that helps any) so i'll give this a shot.

let's break your dream down.

death - like you said you've been scared of death lately so therefore it manifested itself in your dream

2nd child - were there any complications during your first child's birth? you might also have fears that if you were to have a second child that you would have more hardships supporting your family?

your father - your father, i'm assuming is the powerful figure in your life? so his word to you means a lot...as would his warnings.

personally:
i would have to say that you shouldn't worry. not because dreams don't mean anything because they do. i don't know you but i can tell you it's not your time to die. you just gave birth to your first child who's not even a year old. you're a mother and to your kid you're as important as god. so you can't die...you won't die. because your child is THAT important to you.

my advice:
your dreams will reflect on your life. so talk to your father about potentially having a second child. he'll probably say something positive of it right? after doing this i'm assuming your bad dreams will stop.

Often death is the recurrent theme of our dreams, for dreams essentially play upon our anxieties and fears. Our fear of death often find themselves expressed through these dreams. In the dreams, I have never seen ourselves dying, although we get suggestion of it. You try to take these things at your stride. As a matter of fact, just learn to shed the fear, in actual life too.

Scared of death? Shoot, try having a chronic illness like aids or hep b or live in a warzone or deep in the ghetto for a day (homelessness anywhere?). If none of those apply to you then you are a ok. Sorry but did that work?

I saw a kind of that for several times. Usually it happened to some real danger. Be careful!

Hmm. Well, such dreams if the7y have a meaning we usually see before the exact danger, so it's not time to worry.

dreams are personal and no one site can tell you exactly what your dreams mean.. but i would hazard a guess that your fear of death is whats causing you to dream about it, and thus i wouldnt be worried that the dream was tryna tell you anything!

personally i've had several dreams involving death but it hasnt been reflected in reality yet!

I don't think you should worry.........I have had plenty of dreams about me dying starting when I was a child.........and I am old now..........well not REAL OLD.......but not a young chick anymore.
Alot of people have dreams like that. I used to get freaked out by dreams of one of my children dying.

hey has ever ur father told something to u at times n that happenend then it might be true but it can also be ur fear of death.....well it doesnt seem that u should be scared of this so dont worry....n if u r still not at rest then ask ur mom that ur father told something n has come true.......it can also be a sign of precaution for ur life so.....best of luck

Maybe he doesn't want to have to raise your children for you either way? Think long and hard about the things he has said about it.You should be making all of your prenatal appointments anyway.
