1 liter is 0.001 cubic meter or 1 cubic decimeter

1L = 0.001 m^3
= 0.1m x 0.1m x0.1m (meter)
= 1dm x 1dm x 1dm (change to decimeter)
= 10cm x 10cm x10cm (change to centimeter)
= 1000cm^3 (multiply)
= 10^3 cm^3 (convert to scientific notation)

so 4L = 4 x 10^3 cm^3
therefore 10^6 cm^3 is larger

1 L is the volume of a cube with a side of 10cm.
so 1L = 10^3 cub cm and 4 L = 4x10^3 cubcm

Obviously 4x10^6 cub cm is larger

one liter = 1000cm^3 = 10^3 cm^3

So 4L = 4 10^3 cm^3 smaller than 4 10^6cm^3 which is 4m^3
